Provides efficient room heating using convection technology, heat is mainly generated behind the heater in the space between the panel and the wall, which leads to an efficient updraft of heat circulated into the room. Operates using the same electricity as (4) 100W light bulbs, while heating an entire room. Effectively heats a 10' x 12' room. Onboard On Off switch. Safe because they do not have exposed wires or elements, and are not hot to the touch. Operates silently and without fans, so neither dust nor mold are circulated throughout a room as in forced air systems. ECO heaters can be painted to match any decor with water based latex paint. They are slim, sleek and stylish. Can be pugged into standard AC outlets or used with plug in or hard wired thermostat. UL listed and ISS approved. I purchased an eco-heater for a renovation project we are doing at our house. I was about ready to install the product and read through the instructions included in the package which indicate that this product is not to be used in a bathroom area. Not only that, but I installed the outlet for the unit to be located behind the panel so that the cord would be out of sight. According to the instructions, this is also not permitted.
I did a lot of research on the Eco-Heat website before I purchased the product and no-where on the website does it state that the product cannot be used in wet areas or that the plug has to be exposed. As a matter of fact, none of the pictures and graphics on thier website (or any website for that matter) show a cord coming from the unit. I'm a pretty handy guy and wired/plumbed my whole new kitchen, so I know my way around electrical appliances. This...so far...is not making me happy. I'm trying to contact Eco-Heat to find out if I can use this thing at all. Stay tuned...
I purchased two of these to heat a 10X12 room. They barely raise the temp by 5 degrees. When hanging them three out of the eight attachment points failed so they sag. What a waste of money
I love this little wall heater. It's unobtrusive, quiet, efficient, and IT WORKS perfectly. It's on or it's off. The room toasts up nicely. I couldn't be happier. Wish I'd had one years and years ago. It will not heat a whole house. It is room specific, but worth the money.
I had hoped this panel would help maintain a comfortable temperature in a small bedroom, but it doesn't generate quite enough heat. On the plus side, because it doesn't get very hot, it seems unlikely to cause a fire or injury if something, or someone, got too close! Also, it is apparently very important to hang it exactly level to avoid breakage - I would prefer something less fragile. However, it's better than nothing...
I returned this heater. What I would like to know is, I paid 93.00 plus postage, but only got refunded 79.00 and
I paid the return postage?
